"We were looking for someone who had a very natural and candid style, nothing set up and just someone who could capture the day. As soon as we found Claire, all the boxes were ticked. From start to finish she was an absolute dream to work with. A very seamless process from the first meeting months to the delivery of the photos from the day. We just wanted her to shoot it how she wanted and knew best, and the results were more than we could have ever hoped for."

Having now photographed weddings full-time for 10 years, I have come to realise that my passion and skills lie in capturing the real, unposed moments of wedding celebrations. Having previously worked in theatre design and illustration, I have an eye for detail and a love for design that guides my work as fashions and photography evolve. It allows me to naturally tune into both current trends and traditional craftsmanship to create effortless and timeless images for my couples.
Being a sociable introvert myself, I know how it feels to be unsure of what to do in front of a camera while still longing for natural moments of real connection to be captured. My hope is that we connect in a way that allows you to fully relax and be yourself around me so that we can create beautiful images that transport you back to your favourite moments together.

"Claire focuses on the emotions, capturing them authentically and framing them perfectly whether they’re immense or intimate moments."
Claire is a pleasure to be around. She puts you at ease, is calm, and incredibly professional but relaxed, whilst also ensuring you have fun and don’t feel ‘staged' while capturing your friends and family, especially the little moments. One of my favourite photos from our wedding is of my grandmother stitching my coat sleeve back together on the morning of the wedding, taken from outside the room she was sitting in. I would recommend Claire to anyone!
Working with Claire was a joy. She took the time to understand our wedding day logistics and what we were hoping to achieve with our photos. We were truly thrilled with the end result.
They are all so natural and filled with love, exactly what we asked for.
I firmly believe that a wedding is beautiful wherever it is held, however here are some Scottish venues that I particularly love.
Gosford House, Timberyard, Boath House, Cambo Estate, Guardswell Farm, Dun Alluin, Killihuntly Farmhouse, The Edinburgh Grand, The Collective, Leuchie Walled Garden, Prestonhall Estate.
Outside of my photography work, some of my favourite memories in life have been centred around the table. Whether it’s in a coffee shop discovered by chance whilst exploring a new city; a long, conversational evening of wine and small plates in a local bar or a messy, busy Sunday roast surrounded by family. I'm constantly drawn to exploring current interior design trends, restaurant openings and planning city breaks. In another life, I'd own an ever-evolving retail studio of flowers, pottery and decent coffee by day, and margaritas, picky food, and tiramisu by night.
