Simon & Sophie | Lothian Chambers Edinburgh Wedding
I first met Sophie when I took some photos of her Swing Band earlier in the year. It got me really excited for their wedding in the heart of Edinburgh as I knew that they would want to make the most of the lively Royal Mile and the square outside Lothian Chambers where street performers often gather... I also knew that Simon had an idea for a performance of their own.
Their closest friends and family gathered in The City of Edinburgh suite at Lothian chambers for a short but personality filled ceremony. As we walked out, down the stairs, we were greeted at the door by a Chinese Lion dance. Today Simon was wearing a kilt but normally he would have been part of the troupe; dancing, doing tricks and generally causing mischief around the audience. I have seen a lot of confetti styles but a spray of cabbage leaves is certainly a first.
While their guests made their way to dinner we snuck away down the Royal Mile to Dunbar Close Gardens which is often called Edinburgh's Secret Garden and the perfect place for some peace despite being just off Edinburgh's busiest street. Here Simon and Sophie got to relax and enjoy some quiet in the realisation that they were now married!
